Episode 186: Caitlin Werth

Rev. Caitlin Werth is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a lover of all people. She began her career in social work but was called to ministry (despite her stubborn objections) while attending a church that exemplified authenticity. Her ministry began with the Foundation of HOPE's Pre-Release Program in Allegheny County Jail, where she helped those incarcerated reconnect to their faith, live positively in community, and grow in skills, mind, and spirit. She believes in the never-ending possibility of transformation and that every person is redeemable. To Caitlin, God is love, and made us out of love, to spread and live in love.

Caitlin is wrapping up her time at Waverly Presbyterian Church to follow her husband's call to Charlotte, NC. At Waverly, Caitlin had the honor to deepen her faith while serving a beautiful community of loving souls who share her commitment to growth through questioning and engaging with mystery.

Full discloser - the host of this podcast has been a member of Waverly Presbyterian Church for over 30 years.
