Episode 152: Winnie Xi

Winnie’s name has been changed to protect her family in mainland China. Winnie Xi was born in China where the communist government has made it hard for people to engage in any religious practice. She says that it is by God’s amazing grace that she saw His light, converted to Christianity and then attended Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Listen to a former English professor share her spiritual journey towards Jesus. She was fortunate to have a father who valued her as a girl in a time when many girl babies were left on hillsides, aborted, or given away for adoption. Her story provides a first-hand account of growing up in China during tumultuous times, including the Tiananmen Square Massacre.
