Episode 64: Don Young

Don Young was a successful pharmaceutical marketing executive when he became aware that he wasn't happy with the typical trappings of success. After spending his entire adult life pursuing happiness by acquiring stuff, he finally surrendered his heart to God. He credits the gospel music of Johnny Cash with his spiritual awakening. His journey includes running from God, hiding from God and his own gay identity to finally accepting the fact that he is a valued child of God worthy of love with a purpose of creating love in the world. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in history, religion, and philosophy and a Master of Arts Degree in Theology. Don is an Eagle Scout and a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Eighth District Judicial Court of Nevada.
